Walking in the Air – Weekly Photo Challenge – Infinite
Dear Friends,
The mighty Matukituki River flows through the Mt Aspiring National Park in the South Island of New Zealand. The river is fed by ice melt from Rob Roy Glacier so even for a hardy beaver swimming across is not an option.
Luckily there is a suspension bridge across the frigid, raging torrent.
For most people it’s an easy jaunt from one riverbank to the other, but for someone like me with shorter than average legs the walk across the bridge is very long. I wondered if I would ever reach the other side.
The prospect of the return journey was simply too much so I hitched a ride!
Justin.
