I’ve often wondered what it would be like to be the big beaver about town. Well, let me tell you, it’s not as much fun as you would think. At Old Hobart Town model village in Richmond Tasmania I stood head and shoulders above the crowd and no one even noticed.
There is a population of more than 500, and everywhere I looked I could see people going about their daily lives. There were children playing, men and women out in their carriages and even convicts working in gangs while soldiers watched on.
They were all so busy they didn’t see me at all.
I don’t think Gulliver had this problem.
