Weekly Photo Challenge – Reflections
The Macintyre River is one of the border rivers which flow through south western Queensland and northern New South Wales. It forms part of the border between the two states and flows past the town of Goondiwindi. The reflections of the gum trees along the river banks give an air of peaceful serenity here, but in times of heavy rain the river has flooded so mightily that the river banks have been fortified with 11 metre high levee banks to protect the town.
